Learn to Sail – Stage 1 & 2

Kids Holiday Sailing Program - January 2022 

The CSC Discover Sailing Centre is pleased to welcome you to our January Kids Holiday Sailing Program 2021. 

This five day program will include a variety of sailing activities that are focused on having fun and learning the basic sailing skills. 

The CSC Discover Sailing Centre abides by the Australian Sailing Instructor/Student ratios, hence places are strictly limited. All courses are subject to change with limited notice, based on demand and availability. To avoid disappointment, we recommend registering early.

All dedicated sailing equipment will be supplied during participation in the course.

 

                        

 

Course Dates

Monday 10 January 2022 to Friday 14 January 2022.

9.00 am till 2.30 pm each day.

 

Course Cost

$450 and includes club membership till the end of the sailing season

Course Overview

Your sailing journey starts here as you learn the fundamental skills of sailing and are introduced to the fun of dinghy sailing in a safe and supportive environment. As you master the fundamental sailing skills, you will become equipped to sail your dinghy on your own.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 1 and Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

Course Prerequisites

  • At least 8 years of age.
  • Be able to swim 50 meters unassisted

Important information

  • Participants will be required to supply their own lunch
  • While supervision will be provided as part of the training program, ultimate responsibility for your child will be each parent’s responsibility and accordingly a parent or representative will need to be within close proximity in the event of an emergency.
  • Importantly you will be required to supervise your child during the half hour lunch break.
